Backlog Grooming (Refinement)

Backlog grooming (or refinement) is the recurring practice of keeping the backlog healthy — adding detail to upcoming items, splitting large stories, re-estimating, and reprioritizing as evidence changes. It ensures the team always has a ready, well-understood set of work to pull from. Refinement is continuous, not a one-time event.
